We met at an event we almost didn’t show up to, funny how life works like that.

One of us nearly backed out last minute, the other got dragged there by a friend. Surrounded by small talk, finger food, and unfamiliar faces, we somehow found the one conversation that felt… different.

There weren’t fireworks or instant love songs playing in the background — just two curious people, chatting like it wasn’t the first time. We laughed, got a little awkward, and forgot about the time. By the end of the night, we didn’t know what this was — only that we wanted more of it.
